About: Ackerview Guesthouse is a Respite Care facility caring for people with challenges in the Okanagan area including Salmon Arm, Kamloops, Vernon, Sicamous and Revelstoke. This unique care facility uses Holistic and Horticultural therapy methods to help heal and improve the guests. On 4.5 acres is a beautiful and serene farm with animals and meadows providing a spectacular setting for guests to do a variety of activities including gardening, interacting with animals and enjoying all the vegetation.
Customer Service: Ackerview Guesthouse provides 24 hour care and will assist guests in getting to and from any medical appointments that are needed. There is room for up to 2 guests at a time which may be expanded in the future. This Respite Care facility just outside Salmon Arm allows guests to stay for just a few days or for several weeks depending on what is needed.

What Makes Us Unique: The large serene farm setting with opportunities for guests to enjoy many outdoor activities with a smaller ratio of care person to guest. We believe this is the only Respite Care facility like this in the Okanagan area providing outstanding service and creating a very high level of healing and comfort for guests as part of the Horticultural and Holistic approaches used.

Do you provide day care? My Mom is 83 and between my brother, my husband and myself, and sometimes help from our son we are able to care for my Mom, but, there are some days that we need help for 2-4 hours. Would you care for a senior for part of a day?
We do not feel that my Mom would be ok in a resthome (I understand why they are needed, but, my Mom would not do well there).
My Mom loves farm life, gardening and the outdoors. She is in a wheelchair, but, can walk a little ways.
